Description
Chicago Cultural Center was completed in 1897 as Chicago Public Library and Grand Army of the Republic Hall and memorial . The white Carrara marble Preston Bradley Hall displayed here contains world’s largest stained glass (38 feet diameter, 30,000 piece) Tiffany dome. In 1991, the building was converted to Cultural Center after the library was relocated to a new and more spacious Harold Washington Library Center.
